A Child’s Eyes

Rocks, twigs, and leaves
The child sees not these
But sturdy little dwarves
And fairies with verdant wings.

Trials, hardship, tears
Lord, help me not to fear
But give me a child’s eyes
Full of hope and heart to sing.
